The theory test is one of the most important tests you will ever take in your life. It determines whether you pass or fail the practical part of your driving licence. If you don’t pass it, you won’t be able to drive legally.

The theory test is designed to assess your ability to drive safely at different speeds and under various road conditions. It lasts around two hours and consists of three parts: Part 1 – which tests your reaction times and visual perception; Part 2 – which tests your knowledge of the Highway Code and rules of the road; and Part 3 – which covers advanced manoeuvring skills and includes a series of simulated driving scenarios.
Arriving at Newcastle upon Tyne Theory Test Centre
The test centre is located just outside the city centre, making it easy to access by public transport. It has two large car parks, one of which is free if you book online. There is also a small parking lot next door.
Find a driving test centre
The test centres will give you information on what to expect from the test, including what to wear and what to bring. They’ll also tell you where to sit, which examiner you’ll meet, and what to expect during the test.
What Happens Next?
The next step is to discuss what happens after you pass your driving test. If you want to continue to drive professionally, you will need to take a refresher course every two years. This will ensure you keep your licence.
Book a test online
The test centre will send you a booking form, which you must complete before they will let you know if you’ve passed or failed. If you fail, you’ll need pay £70 to retake it.
How long does the exam take?
It takes about two hours and 45 minutes to complete the exam. You have three attempts at each section of the exam.
What happens if I pass?
If you pass, you can apply for a full license immediately. However, you may have to wait until your provisional license expires before you get your full license.
Guides and Tips
The best way to prepare for a driving test is to familiarise yourself with the route beforehand. This will give you time to think about what you want to say during the exam and allow you to practice answering any questions.
Before you start
The first thing you should consider is whether you want to lose weight or gain muscle mass. If you’re looking to shed some pounds, then a ketogenic diet could be beneficial. But if you’re trying to bulk up, it may not be the best choice for you.
Book Now
The test centre has a range of cars available for hire, including electric vehicles. There is also a designated parking area where you can leave your car overnight if required. The nearest train station is Newcastle Central Station, which is just five minutes away by taxi.
Car
The car is a major part of our lives. It provides us with freedom, transport and mobility. But it’s not always easy to drive safely, especially if you’ve never driven before. If you want to pass your driving test, you’ll need some practice behind the wheel.
Bus
The bus will take you from Newcastle upon Tyne to Sunderland, where you’ll catch another bus back to Newcastle. It takes around 2 hours each way.
Train
The train is a great way to travel around Newcastle if you want to see some sights but don’t want to drive. It’s also a convenient way to get from A to B without having to worry about parking or traffic jams.
