You’re Never Too Old to Learn to Drive

If you’ve never sat behind the wheel before, or if you’ve given it a shot but haven’t yet taken the leap towards booking your driving test, then we’ve got good news for you – it’s never too late to pass! Learning to drive when you’re older can be a nerve wracking experience, and many people worry about an increased risk of accidents amongst older drivers, but actually the older generation are some of the safest drivers on the roads today. Research suggests a decrease in road accidents amongst older drivers – attributed to a lesser desire to take risks – and the road safety charity Brake states that ‘there is no age-related increase in total number of incidents of any severity for the over 60s’.
