Although car batteries do have a tendency to die during the months of winter, there is actually a case to be made that more batteries actually die during the summer season, according to some sources. However, science has an explanation in both cases, as the operation and life span of a car battery can actually be impacted by both cold and hot weather. It is a very good idea to have a check conducted on your car battery prior to summer trips, and maintenance performed regularly in the autumn before winter hits.
