Rise in Frauds Taking Driving Tests

Do we really know who’s driving on Britain’s roads? Perhaps not. While the country has a strong licensing system in place, media sources are reporting a huge rise in driving test fraud, meaning that it is likely that there are hundreds of licensed drivers on the roads today who have never passed a formal driving test. There are growing concerns that driver and passenger safety will be significantly compromised if police do not crack down on this type of fraud.

Learning to Drive via Sat Nav?

Could we soon be tested on our sat nav skills when learning to drive? Yes, if proposed changes to the current UK driving test are approved! From April 2015, 20 driving test centres across the country will be testing their drivers on their ability to follow directions using an in-car satellite navigation system, rather than relying upon traditional road signs. If the trial proves to be successful, it is anticipated that this new and improved driving test will be officially rolled out to all test centres in the UK.
