New Plans to Overhaul Driving Test

The driving test is something that will be forever evolving alongside the modern world. This year, we’ve heard of new proposals and plans with which the Department of Transport has been heavily involved. The new plans are being drawn up by the UK Government to give the driving test an overhaul, with a view to help increase the pass rate. As you read this, The Department of Transport is preparing a consultation, which includes a controversial part-denationalisation of the practical driving exam.

Over 400 Learners Crash During Their Test

For many of us, learning how to drive wasn’t one big car-crash. Instead it would be a lot of stopping and starting, minor mistake making and passenger-seat (as opposed to back-seat, for legal reasons) driving. However, it seems as though some learners really know how to fail, with recent statistics from the DSA (since renamed the DVSA) showing a whopping 415 learners were involved in an accident while undergoing their practical test.
