New App That Will Slash The Cost Of Learning To Drive

Book Your Theory Test Online investigates revolutionary new app that will save learner drivers over £300 by reducing months of practice behind the wheel.

miDrive, is the newest feat in driving test technology and it has caused quite a stir, attracting the interest of many consumers. This state-of-the-art app provides an interactive relationship with learner motorists, Book Your Theory Test Online has learnt.

Offering GPS tracking of a learner driver’s lessons, they can monitor and evaluate driving lesson experiences, and identify areas in their driving on which they can improve.

Although the app requires an instructor to use it, the app can retain photos, reviews and articles that can answer questions outside of designated driving lessons. Such an app is said to revolutionise how learner motorists will access help with their theory test and practical driving exam.

One satisfied customer, Victoria Bass, had this to say about this unique, smartphone app: “I’ve been using the app for just under four months now and it makes motoring really fun. So far, I have found it incredibly useful. I only do one lesson per week, but it monitors all of my lessons and provides so many interactive features.”

Miss Bass added: “It offers video snippets and mini-tests, with questions that will appear on the theory test. It’s really innovative.”

The app also enables users to share their progress via social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Victoria said: “I haven’t shared anything via my social media profiles yet, but I think it is a wonderful idea that will help any learner motorist working towards their theory test and practical driving exam.”

She added: “I haven’t done it. But almost everyone has iPhones who I know, so it’s good to compete in tasks and pick up new tips.”

According to research, the average number of hours needed for a learner driver to pass the practical driving exam is 39. However, with the new app in place that number could be cut by a third to just 27 hours.

Based on the number of hours saved, the estimated cost saving is £300 with the average driving lesson costing £25 throughout the UK.

Andy Brown, a driving instructor with 12 years experience who has been teaching Miss Bass, said: “I think miDrive is the future. I still slip back into some of my older methods occasionally, but I feel that I have embraced and adapted to the app reasonably quickly.”

He added: “It’s not only good for helping learners to prepare for the theory test or practical exam; it’s a great way to develop the skills of driving instructors. I’m always trying to identify new ways to help learners get the best out of their lessons and the app goes a long way towards achieving that.”

Book Your Theory Test Online says: “miDrive is now available from the Apple App Store, free of charge. You can also get it via midrive.com”
